Target audience: Users, operating and maintenance staff
Prior knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of vacuum technology, basic knowledge of Windows
Beginning – Ending: 9 am – 4 pm
Number of Participants: 3 - 6
Registration deadline: Two weeks prior to the beginning of the course
Course includes lunch, drinks and a certificate
Course content
The course content is primarily taught using a PrismaPro (QMG 250) in conjunction with a turbomolecular vacuum pump unit and the PV MassSpec software.
Participants may bring a notebook with a LAN connection and administrator rights for practical exercises, or use one of the computers available in the training center.

First day
Fundamentals and theory of quadrupole mass spectrometry (part 1)
Applications and equipment selection
Introduction to the software, including installation and commissioning
Second and third day
Theory of quadrupole mass spectrometry (part 2)
Parameter settings and practical exercises, operation, measuring methods
Examples and introduction to methods for interpreting gas spectra
